The New football season has started with a flourish as 20 entrants to the new Bear fantasy football league kicked off in August, with awards given to Manager of the month.

The Bear Back On-line!!!

The Bear after much formatting and turmoil we are back online and updates are now starting on the site giving you all the latest on whats happening at the bear.

 

First off, 17th November is KARAOKE Night, also Allans birthday so its going to be a good bash.....

Fantasy footballers, as off tomorrow you should be able to see the league table on here every tuesday to see how your doing...

Fresh Accoustic Night...Thurs 26th April

Again it is time for the " Fresh Acoustic " Night at the Bear.

This is on Thursday 26th April, and has been a huge success over recent events.

Our very own Adam Mcvay organises the event with some great fresh talent performing for us.

All the artists play for free, but a we raise money on the night for Adams nominated charity The Rainbow Centre.

Last months event, we managed to raise over £150....so thanks for all your support...

On March 18th we held a special Sunday quiz for Comic Relief. This quiz was quite different than anything else we have done before...

The theme of this quiz was "Walt Disney" and attracted an amazing 26 teams. All the entry money was given to Comic Relief, and two of our regulars agreed to be waxed on various parts of their body... might I had that "Kenny Bear" was in some pain!!!

But with the quiz and the waxing, we managed to raise £150.

We also donated all the takings from the pool table on Sunday, which raised £63.50.

But the main event for the day was Tora, one of The Bear's owners, agreeing to shave her head. Well, in doing this she got pledges of £1067.82... which gives a grand total of £1281.32 being donated to Comic Relief. So if you pledged to Tora, please could you hand in the money as soon as possible...
